Enallagma durum (Big Bluet)
Length 1.3-1.7 inches. The coloring is all blue and black.

The eye spots are blue and narrow and are connected by a noticeable occipital bar.

The thorax has a black mid dorsal bar and black shoulder stripes but it also has a narrow blue line in the middle of the black mid dorsal bar. This bar is called a carina.

The black marks on the top of the abdomen are pointed. The mark on the top of segment 3 covers at least ½ of the length of the segment.
